Chaddock Features House of Harris Designs at Spring HP Market

Chaddock Furniture Workroom, manufacturers of customized furniture, upholstery, cabinets, hardware and lighting, has announced that textile and wall covering brand House of Harris will be featured in two of Chaddock’s showroom spaces at next week’s High Point Market.

The company gave House of Harris co-founders Charlotte Harris Lucas and Liz Harris Carroll free reign to transform two central spaces in Chaddock’s new 200 Steele showroom. The resulting sitting room and bedroom reflect the wide range of custom upholstery and casegood options available through the North Carolina workroom, featuring textural, pattern-rich House of Harris designs.

Named among Southern Living’s 2018 best new southern tastemakers, the N.C.-based duo is known for their graphic, whimsical patterns and vibrant colors, which have been incorporated in notable projects in the south and beyond — and featured in national publications like VogueArchitectural Digest and domino.

With full access to Chaddock’s portfolio of furniture, the designers incorporated their playful fabrics and wallpapers on a selection of pillows, tables, chairs, stools, sofas, benches and accents. Chaddock provided House of Harris creative freedom in the design of each room, which the sisters filled with 22 reimagined furniture pieces.

“What better way to showcase how we partner with designers than to work with fun, talented design professionals like Liz and Charlotte,” said Andrew Crone, CEO of Chaddock. “They pushed the boundaries of customization with this collaboration. More than just using their fabrics on our upholstery, their playful approach married materials, colors and finishes we’ve never combined and suggested unexpected details like their wall coverings on our casegoods. It’s great—and exactly what we love about bringing a designer’s vision to life.”

The unique collaboration showcases the colorful, textural drama of House of Harris fabrics and wallpapers while highlighting the freedom available through Chaddock’s custom workroom. It also, of course, illustrates the inspiring possibilities available when you mix both design-minded brands.

“Having the opportunity to push the envelope in terms of combinations and application of fabrics and wallpaper was so exciting for us,” said Lucas. Carroll added, “It’s something we know could really only be done with a partner like Chaddock. We all share a deep appreciation for craftmanship and customization from start to finish. Plus, we always love working with people who are game for unexpected, reimagined ideas. They share our perspective that well-crafted furniture can be both timeless and fun.”

In addition to showcasing current designs on various Chaddock pieces, House of Harris will also debut a new fabric and wallpaper collection dubbed “Avenue II" in the Chaddock showroom. The House of Harris range of textiles and wall coverings will be available for special order upholstery and select casegood applications later this spring.
