As the leading market for bedding, Las Vegas Market continues to draw more retailers looking for the newest in sleep products. After a decade of showing in High Point, Corsicana had noted its retailers are more focused on furniture instead of bedding during the spring and fall event.
“We have been an exhibitor in High Point for 10 years, so this was not an easy decision,” said Michael Thompson, CEO of Corsicana Mattress. “However, retailers flock to Las Vegas twice a year to see the latest and greatest product innovations in our industry, and our upgraded showroom is the perfect spot for our retail partners to fully experience what we’re all about.”
The company updated its 7,800-square-foot Las Vegas showroom for the January market, where dealers were treated to vignettes designed with the look and feel of a bedroom that appeals to the target consumer for each of the company’s four brands – the entry-level Sleep Inc. line, the moderately priced American Bedding line, its performance brand, Renue, as well as its new direct-to-consumer brand, Early Bird.
“January was our best market in years, and the buzz was evident from day one,” said Thompson. “Attendance was up 30 percent from the January 2018 market, and we created a lot of excitement. That should translate into better business for our retail partners.”
Most recently, Corsicana’s High Point showroom was at 300 S. Main St. The company previously had shown in the International Home Furnishings Center and at other Main Street locations.
