Corsicana Honors Top 2 Sales Performers

Corsicana Mattress has awarded Kathy Ranieri and Dan Thigpen the company’s 2018 Eagle Award, the highest honor bestowed on a member of the company’s sales team.
The pair helped lead a 15 percent sales increase in the western U.S. The annual award recognizes Corsicana’s top sales performers for their professionalism, customer focus and sales growth during the year.
Ranieri, a territory manager who has been with Corsicana since 2013, represents the company in Colorado and Wyoming. Thigpen, a 14-year mattress industry veteran who joined the company in early 2018, is western regional sales manager.
“While we saw outstanding growth throughout the country last year, Kathy and Dan led the way among our sales team,” said Michael Thompson, CEO of Corsicana Mattress. “They were responsible for a sales increase of more than 15 percent in the western region, and their boundless energy and enthusiasm set a great example for all of us to follow.”
Thompson noted that energy and enthusiasm are two of the “five E’s” that every Eagle Award winner must exhibit – the others being edge, engagement and execution.
Ranieri, a resident of Denver, also is a sales representative for Coaster Company. Prior to her time with Coaster and Corsicana, she spent more than three years as a sales representative for Ashley Furniture.
Thigpen, who resides in Henderson, Nevada, started his mattress industry career with Kingsdown, where he held several sales and key accounts posts for more than seven years. He later held sales posts with King Koil and Southerland Mattress before re-joining King Koil’s U.S. sales team in 2013.
