Bespoke furniture manufacturer Jonathan Charles has hired James Nauyok as Creative Director of its U.S division. The former executive at Baker Furniture and Christopher Guy brings over 15 years of experience in visual merchandising, marketing, and product development in the home furnishings industry.
As the new Creative Director, Nauyok will be responsible for Jonathan Charles’ High Point showroom merchandising, product integration into retail stores and design showrooms, and vertical sales strategy development across the U.S. He will report to Jonathan Charles’ U.S President Eric Graham.
“James has a profound understanding of the role merchandising plays in affecting brand perception,” states Graham. “Our High Point showroom is the best reflection of Jonathan Charles in the United States; James’ role is critical in developing a curated experience during market that can resonate with retailers and designers alike. We’re very excited to bring him on board to help evolve our current brand perception from item-focused to lifestyle-oriented.”
Founder and CEO Jonathan Sowter said, “James is tremendously well-respected. He will bring a new perspective of developing classic design that combines traditional techniques to feel timeless.”
