CR Laine Furniture Expands Factory
July 24,
2013 by in Business Strategy, Industry
Upholstery supplier CR Laine Furniture has begun construction to expand its facilities by 42,000 square feet. The expansion will accommodate the company's growth.
This is the seventh expansion project at CR Laine since it was founded by Clarence Roseman in 1958. CR Laine continues to be family-owned and operated. C.E. "Sonny" Roseman, Jr. is now CEO and third-generation family member, Warren Frye is president.
The expansion was motivated by the need to match increasing consumer demands and subsequent company growth. This growth has allowed CR Laine to continue to hire new employees adding more than 50 new positions.
CR Laine's expansion and growth is beneficial to both potential new employees as well as other companies in the community.
"From lumber, to steel, foam, and fabric; we want to support domestic suppliers and source as much as we can locally," Frye said.
The additional space will increase efficiency at the plant, as well as help facilitate faster delivery of products to customers. The expansion includes an increase in manufacturing space, as well as the construction of a new shipping warehouse. The old shipping warehouse will be converted into additional manufacturing space.
