Cosco, a supplier of folding furniture, step stools and a variety of other products for the home, has announced its 80th anniversary, celebrating with the launch of the Stylaire Classic Collection.
Featuring modern updates to many of the company’s classic products, the line-up is showcased in a fresh, style-forward color palette that includes teal, red, butter yellow and black paired with chrome, as well as featuring some items in the 16-piece collection in gold-tone legs and accents.
The collection includes chairs, tables, bar stools, serving carts and step stools with vintage and retro styling. It is being targeted to consumers who may have had Cosco products in their home when they were growing up, as well as those who appreciate the retro designs and modern functionality.
“Throughout our history, Cosco has developed household products that made life easier, and this new collection honors our roots with a fresh lineup of modern designs and exciting colors for some of our most iconic products,” said Troy Franks, president. “We have been a trusted part of American homes for 80 years, and look forward to building on that trust in the years ahead.”
The collection will officially launch at the International Housewares Show, March 2-5 in Chicago, and also will be shown at the High Point Furniture Market, April 6-10 in High Point, N.C., and the National Hardware Show, May 5-7 in Las Vegas.
Cosco’s design team culled through the company’s archives of advertisements and catalogs to curate products for the collection. Each piece is available in a number of colors and finishes.
Because of the Stylaire Classic Collection’s appeal to a wide range of consumers, Franks said Cosco will focus on placing the products with specialty retailers of housewares and home products, in addition to its traditional big box and e-commerce retail channels.
“The styling is on-trend, yet these classic products still solve several basic consumer needs,” said Franks.
Items in the new collection include a 44-inch round folding table, a 32-inch square folding table, a pair of three-piece pub sets, two styles of serving carts, two styles of folding chairs, two styles of step stools, and four styles of its iconic chair and step stool.
Retail prices are approximately $24.99 to $69.99 for the step stools, and up to $176.99 for other items.
