Castelle Announces Licensing Deal with Founder of Patina Vie
Castelle has announced a licensing agreement and collaboration between its Castelle brand and product designer and antiquarian, Sarah Willett, founder of Patina Vie. The luxury outdoor manufacturer will produce outdoor designs based on the casual, rustic and European designs created by Patina Vie.
The introduction will occur during the High Point Spring Market, April 6 - 11 with designs on display in the Castelle showroom, IHFC Main 101.
“We are very excited about partnering with Patina Vie to bring Sarah’s uniquely inspired designs to the outdoor category,” said Mark Stephens, president, Castelle. “Over the past five years, we have expanded our handcrafted furnishings and accessories to include designer collections as well as historically-related offerings. Through Sarah, and Patina Vie, we continue to bring our retail and design customers designs that exhibit the best of both of these influencers."
Describing Patina Vie as “where history and style collide”, Willett will expand upon the overwhelming global success she has experienced with the charming and unique brand into the outdoor category. With decades of fashionable product design for industry notables and iconic brands, Patina Vie was a desirable choice for the manufacturer.
“Ever-charmed by the warm layers of time, our Patina Vie designs appeal to a broad demographic,” says Willett. “Embracing personal style, we were drawn to the custom capabilities of the Castelle brand as well as their dedication to quality craftsmanship; both of which were a fit for Patina Vie.”
The Patina Vie by Castelle collaboration will be the latest addition to the home and décor product lines that currently carry the Patina Vie name including Karastan rugs and York wall coverings. The brand is also known for its team of vintage collectors, artists and style-makers. In the summer of 2018, Patina Vie saw the opening of a flagship store in historic Ripon, Wisconsin.
As partners, Castelle and Patina Vie’s launch will continue following the April High Point Market to the International Casual Furnishings Association (ICFA) Preview Show in July and the ICFA Casual Market Chicago in September 2019.
