During this year’s interior fair at imm cologne, Swiss manufacturer de Sede presented its new collection for 2019 with 11 new deSede and three new products from its subsidiary brand FMS as well as a new mattress collection.
Innovative sofas, armchairs, tables, dining chairs, poufs and semi-outdoor furniture were presented in a stylish booth concept that was well thought out. Highlights included the FSM Pli rotation armchair, the height-adjustable pouf DS-5050 and the DS-343 dining chair. The Swiss manufacturer also launched custom “made to measure” mattresses.
The deSede mattresses were launched on the second day of the fair during a media event. CEO Monika Walser opened the event, which was followed by a lecture of the renowned sleep physician Dr. Riccardo Stoohs.
“Our new products were received very well by the visitors. In particular, the high number of new products has been praised, as well as the very successful stand concept. I am also very proud of the launch of our new deSede mattresses. Those have been intensively tested and received many compliments,” said Walser.
The company’s height-adjustable pouf DS-5050, designed by Austria’s Kai Stania made a surprise debut. It was awarded the Stylepark Selected Award as one of the most interesting new products of imm cologne. The pouf’s design conceals a practical feature that allows it to grow continuously in height, by means of a fine leather strap. The design is based on a leather bellows. The designer sought to show as much leather as possible while concealing the height-adjustment feature in the best way possible.
