HBF Updates Vela Collection, New Glide and Armless Options

Office furniture supplier HBF has updated its seating collection, Vela, for 2019 with two brand-new configurations: as a task chair with glides and in an armless version.
“Vela’s dynamic design and ability to look beautiful in any environment prompted the addition of our 2019 options,” said Dan Chong, president. “By adding these customizable features, Vela further evokes the inspiration that started the collection - adaptable, approachable, sophisticated design.”
Crafted to represent an honest expression of the evolving workplace, Vela approaches contract furniture in a democratic way - offering a design that looks just as fitting in an executive’s office or around a conference table. The chair’s S-curve back and molded foam cushioning is designed to deliver comfortable ergonomics, while still offering a cohesive look and feel.
With the 2019 additions, Vela now offers a total of six new chairs - with varying options from mid- or high-back, armless or cast aluminum arms, and a 5-pronged based with either casters or glides. The new configuration options allow Vela to be utilized with even greater customization and flexibility, from a task chair at a designated workstation or in more informal, collaborative contract settings.
The collection is available in fabric/leather and polished aluminum or black metal for the base (five-pronged base with either casters or glides) and for the cast aluminum arms (or available armless). Both new options (armless and glided) can be combined or integrated separately and are available in a mid- or high-back variant, to accommodate individual user preference.
