Upholstery major Best Home Furnishings will be attending next week’s Las Vegas Market to give customers a chance to test out its brand-new mobile retail app that is in its final development phase.
Furniture dealers’ showrooms are now “virtually” expanded with Best Home Furnishings new app as it will allow customers to see beyond what is shown on the sales room floor.
Visiting dealers will get a firsthand look at the app that will help simplify the product customization process. The app will help automate the process by allowing sales associates, as well as in store guests, to quickly narrow down choices when it comes to products, fabrics, finishes, and pricing, making it easy to see the final order information.
The company partnered with Fieldtrip, a full-service marketing and creative agency out of Louisville, Ky. in 2017 to research, plan, and develop the application. Through a process of surveying and interviewing Best’s dealers, as well as internal team members, the research indicated that while custom ordering is what drives many full line furniture stores' business, the process was not easy.
“When you have the wide product assortment that Best Home Furnishings has, and virtually no limitations on cover availability, we wanted to provide our retailers with a tool to assist the retail sales associate, as well as the customer who is just browsing, the ability to easily customize the furniture,” said Brian Lange, president of Best Home Furnishings. “We wanted an app that was not only easy to use, but easily adaptable to the retail environment. Hopefully this tool makes our products and the shopping process more inspirational to our customers.”
The new retail app will be accessible on iOS tablets, Android tablets as well as free-standing kiosks. Dealers can stop by to see the app anytime at the Best Home Furnishings showroom Jan. 27-31 in the Vegas Market in room A653. The app is set to launch within the first Quarter of 2019.
