Huet brings several years of marketing experience in consumer packaged goods, most recently as vice president of marketing, beverages and snack nuts at Kraft Heinz Corporation, where she was responsible for a $4B portfolio including iconic brands like Planters, Capri Sun, Kool-Aid and Maxwell House. She will report to SSB CEO Michael Traub.
“With the growth of the DTC segment and increasing competitiveness in traditional retail, the need to differentiate and build brand awareness across our house of brands has never been greater. I am excited to have Melanie join SSB and lead this effort,” said Traub. “She will strengthen all our great brands and evaluate new opportunities to reach customers more directly.”
In addition to Huet’s previous roles with Kraft Heinz, she held brand management leadership roles with Kimberly-Clark and Unilever. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Advertising and German from the University of St. Thomas and a Master of Business Administration from the William E. Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester.
