LV Market Unveils First Look Trends for Winter Market

Las Vegas Market has announced the themes included in its First Look trend forecast for the 2019 Las Vegas Winter Market, running Jan. 27 – Jan. 31, 2019.  Featured trends include Arctic, Desertscape, Adorn and Fiesta.

All exhibitors are invited to submit their newest furniture, gift and home décor products by Nov. 13, for consideration in the First Look display, educational seminar and at-Market resource guide.

“Las Vegas Market’s proprietary First Look program is a key differentiator, making Las Vegas a ‘must-see’ market for trend-forward companies in the furniture, home décor and gift industries,” said Karen Olson, SVP of marketing for International Market Centers. “The multi-part program gives buyers and interior designers the latest trend forecasts and provides insight from industry thought leaders and trendsetters.”

First Look curator and 20-year magazine editor Julie Smith Vincenti will create product vignettes in a display located in the Grand Plaza. Products accepted for First Look will also be featured in all pre-market promotional publications sent to buyers and interior designers, on social media, and in an image-rich publication focusing on these directional trend stories that will be distributed at Las Vegas Market registration areas.

Additionally, Vincenti will host a free, CEU-accredited seminar from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 28, 2019, with a presentation tailored to today’s cross-category buyers and lifestyle stores. The seminar is geared to both retail and designer audiences and will showcase the best new-to-Market products.

A brief description of each trend follows.

Merchandise selections will include home furnishings in all categories, from area rugs and accent tables to upholstery and wall decor.

Featured merchandise will include apparel; handbags; jewelry; belts and scarves; personal care and beauty products; on-trend textiles; tabletop for everyday dining and entertaining; table lamps; stationery; pet products; nesting and drink tables and accent chairs.
