Fast Fact: Industry Sales, Steady Growth in 3rd Quarter

The total industry (furniture and bedding) continued steady growth in the third quarter, pushing sales up 7.5 percent over 2017 Q3, according to the proprietary market model from Impact Consulting, parent company of Home Furnishings Business.
Furniture and bedding sales totaled $28.54 billion in the third quarter of 2018, compared to $24.4 billion in last year’s third quarter.
Despite ongoing disruptions in the bedding industry, total industry sales reached $83.68 billion year-to-date, a growth of 7.3 percent over the same time period in 2017.
