“IMC is pleased to award these exhibitors for the creativity and effort that they put into their displays,” said Julie Messner, SVP of furniture and home décor leasing. “We recognize these exhibitors for motivating and inspiring Market-goers with exceptional booth design and visual merchandising.”
Ngala Trading Co. (SAMS G-7038 Salon) was launched in 2016 and offers African-designed and manufactured luxury lighting and curated home décor products. Ngala Trading Co. products are organic, hand-made and sustainably sourced from exotic materials such as feathers, ostrich eggs, leather, porcupine quills, suede and ostrich shins
“When we were designing this booth, we designed it in a vignette style so we could showcase the product in the best way possible,” said Lawson Ricketts, founder partner of Ngala Trading Co. “We are still a two-year-old company, so to receive an award like this just shows there is positive reaction to what we are doing and that is a thrust forward for people better knowing who we are and what we’re all about.”
Ornis Gallery (SAMS T-800) is a boutique art publisher of Swedish, Anglo-Indian, French and English collections. Their line includes an extensive portfolio with more than 500 remastered antique ornithology and botanical reproductions.
“We are just so grateful to be given this award and to be here at High Point Market,” said Laurence Guerra, art publisher at Ornis Gallery. “This award shows me that Ornis Gallery is on the right track, that I’m picking the right product and truly designing pieces for designers. It shows that people aren’t buying only for the artwork but for the aesthetic of the booth.”
Piper Collection (G-2019) is a high-end decorative pillow company owned by a mother-daughter duo out of Charlotte, N.C. Piper Collection offers buyers home décor pillows with bold colors, patterns and textures.
“Winning this award was a great way to end the show,” said Piper Collection Owner Whitney Kelly. “I’m proud of the company and how far we have come over the last six years. I hope this will help us continue to grow, evolve and branch out to more customers.”
Replacements, Ltd. (SAMS M-1015) is a retailer of vintage and current tableware and collectables, as well as estate jewelry. At October Market, Replacements, Ltd. showcased vignettes from a team of notable design partners that includes Jean Liu Design, Madcap Cottage, Savage Interior Design and Traci Zeller Interiors.
“There are almost no words to describe how you feel when you’re recognized this way - to say we’re honored doesn’t seem enough, said Linh Calhoun, chief marketing officer for Replacements, Ltd. “We approached this Market working toward the art of the possible, so this award reaffirms our efforts and direction. When you consider all the incredible brands in the Suites at Market Square, we’re overwhelmed to have even been considered by this amazing group of tastemakers.”
Uttermost (SAMS T-475, T-476), part of the Hospitality Design Studio’s debut at High Point Market, offers home décor products to some of the top home furnishings retailers and global hospitality companies. Their product line includes decorative mirrors, alternative wall art, lamps, accessories, clocks, botanicals, lighting fixtures, and accent furniture.
“What an honor. This award is the result of the passion and teamwork I see each day at Uttermost,” said Mac Cooper, president of Uttermost. “We are incredibly honored to receive this Best Booth Award for High Point Fall Market. This is a reflection of the passion and ownership that our entire team takes in our work each day."
