Universal Supports Breast Cancer Research Through Chair Sales

Universal Furniture has announced it will donate $50 to the City of Hope for every Hope Chair sold through retailers and interior designers.

The Hope Chair was developed to honor the philanthropic work of Samuel Kuo and Grace Liu, Samson Marketing founders and owners of Universal Furniture. The couple has provided significant support for City of Hope’s breast cancer research program over the years, and was recently inducted into the American Furniture Hall of Fame.

“It’s a way to both recognize their significant contributions to the healthcare community, and give a little more to one of their favorite charities,” said Neil MacKenzie, director of marketing.

The chair is petite, barrel backed with a fully upholstered seat, featuring a pink quilted velvet exterior and tight-back textured pink fabric interior. It’s finished with nickel nailhead trim and wooden legs with metal ferrules.
