HPMA Names New Board Members and Chairman for 2019

The High Point Market Authority has announced its new members to its board of directors for 2019.

New members include Lee Boone, co-president of Home Meridian International; Jane Dagmi, editor-in-chief of Designers Today; Carol Gregg, owner of Red Egg Resources; Mandy Jeffries Minyon, president of Colfax Furniture; and Karen Olson, senior vice president of marketing for International Market Centers. Christi Barbour, founder and partner of Barbour Spangle Design, and Alex Shuford, CEO of Rock House Farm Family of Brands, will also join the board as well as the executive committee.

The seven new members became official board members upon the conclusion of the Oct. 17 board meeting, held during Fall Market. They will each serve a two-year term through 2019 and 2020 under new board chairman, Dudley Moore, president of Otto & Moore. Moore officially assumed his new role after the Oct. board meeting following a two-year term served by Jeff Scheffer, president of Universal Furniture.

"Serving on the board has opened my eyes to the true depth and breadth of High Point Market and the multi-faceted impact it has on our industry,” said Moore. “I am honored to serve in the role of chairman and am embracing the opportunity to do my part in moving the Market forward in the years to come.”

The next High Point Market is scheduled for April 6-10, 2019.
