Platt Joins Mitchell Group as Asst. VP of Strategic Business Development

Fabric supplier The Mitchell Group has named industry veteran Craig Platt as assistant vice president for strategic business development.
Platt will be responsible for supporting existing customer growth as well as developing strategic growth plans for new customers and markets. He will report to Mike Fisch, vp for strategic business development.
“Craig’s leadership skills, technical background and extensive knowledge of the industry & marketplace will bring additional talent to a growing team,” said Bill Fisch, president of The Mitchell Group.
Prior to joining the company, Platt was director of operation services for Designtex, a leading company in the development, design and manufacturing of applied materials for the built environment, headquartered in New York, N.Y. Designtex is a subsidiary of Steelcase, Inc. Platt was with Designtex for seventeen years and was responsible for technical, quality and compliance aspects of all products from design inception, throughout the sales process and through warranty.
