The Design Network Launches eDesign Online Platform

The Design Network (TDN), a leader in online-TV programming featuring celebrity designers, recently announced the launch of eDesign, a new platform for connecting consumers with qualified interior designers.

eDesign is an extension of the popular TDN Trade program, serves over 5,000 interior designer-members, who benefit from the unique service with access to product sourcing and logistics support through TDN parent company Furnitureland South, the world’s largest furniture store.

Active eDesign interior designers maintain a profile on the TDN website, where they are able to create and price their own packages for design services transacted online. Designers additionally receive a commission on products sold through the platform.

Beyond the logistics support available through the existing trade program, eDesign is embedded with a host of tools for streamlining the interior design process, including project planning tools, a moodboard creator, and leading-edge, augmented reality (AR) floor planning software in partnership with Floorplanner.com. TDN integrates the developer’s white label 3D room planning tool to create 3D models of best-selling products and custom options.

“The Design Network created eDesign to be the world’s first 360-degree digital platform for interior design with product procurement,” says Jason Harris, TDN founder. “For the consumer and the designer, the entire experience, from planning through delivery, is seamlessly managed on one platform.”

The new platform will also use TDN video content to drive its consumer-viewers to the eDesign roster of interior designers. Since its inception in 2013, TDN has captured over 16 million combined views of its original programming through its website and Roku, Apple TV, YouTube and Facebook applications.

To kick off the new eDesign platform, TDN has partnered with furniture manufacturer and TDN programming sponsor Four Hands, for a star-studded October High Point Market event.

The red carpet affair on Monday, Oct. 16, begins at 6:00 p.m. in the Four Hands showroom (Suite 4101) located in the Showplace building.

The Design Network’s newest celebrity talent, featured in new programs launching this Fall include Kelli Ellis and Christopher Kennedy, Shayla Copas, Meg Caswell, Jason Oliver Nixon and Anne-Marie Barton.
