Dallas Market Center, Design Week Reaches Milestone Success

The Fall 2018 edition of Dallas Design Week welcomed more than 1,000 members of the design community in late September, offering a week of exclusive events showcasing national celebrities and industry experts throughout open-daily design showrooms.

“This was our most successful Design Week to date, and on behalf of our design showrooms we thank all the guests who attended,” said Michael Bauer, vice president of retail development, Design at Dallas Market Center. “The design community truly embraced our efforts and showed up en masse making the week a triumphant success.”

For the Dine + Design/Colormix 2019 with Sherwin-Williams event, Designer Account Executive Ashlynn Bourque led guests through the trend forecast. Featuring 42 colors gathered into six unique “personalities,” her presentation was complemented by distinctive design vignettes and exciting giveaways sponsored by Dallas Market Center exhibitors. Nearly 600 guests attended the CEU credited event presented in partnership with Sherwin-Williams.

Modern Luxury Interiors and The Gallery hosted a kick-off party with live swing music, dancing, classic cocktails and hors d’ oeuvres. Other highlighted events included: a panel discussion hosted by Feizy and Modern Luxury Interiors featuring top designers Shay Geyer, Denise McGaha, Michelle Nussbaumer and Jan Showers; a Brunch & Book Signing hosted by Global Views, with author and interior designer Moll Anderson; and a CEU-credited event in the Surya showroom where designers were immersed in the history of area rugs and their impact on design. Taking a new perspective on textiles, Daniel Stuart Studio hosted Paul Thomason who focused on the aesthetics of bedding featuring the new Perspective boutique fabric collection.

Dallas Market Center serves retail buyers and interior designers who seek a wide range of home décor products from leading manufacturers and emerging brands. Its open-daily design marketplace is the largest in North America, spanning more than 1.5 million square feet and featuring furniture, decorative accessories, floor coverings, wall art and residential lighting.
