Furniture First Welcomes Country Willow

The Furniture First board of directors has approved Bedford, N.Y. retailer Country Willow, as a new member of the cooperative buying group.

The 35,000 square foot Country Willow showroom is noted for its post and beam architecture. The retailer specializes in better end custom order furniture, with complimentary design services and in-home consultations. Window treatments and lighting enable Country Willow to offer complete design solutions. A separate baby, kids and teen showroom features more than 50 vignettes.

Country Willow has won “Best Furniture and Accessory Store" 12 years in a row from local publications Westchester Magazine and Westchester Home. The store has a stated sustainability policy, seeking out suppliers who are committed to high standards of environmental stewardship, in addition to the store’s policy toward recycling and energy conservation.

“Country Willow came to us on the recommendation of another member” said Andrew Kauffman, CEO of Furniture First. “We’ve got quite a few members who serve the better end of the market. More and more of them are realizing that the benefits we offer can give them a competitive advantage. Since we work with more than 110 manufacturers we have a wide range of merchandise programs to support better end retailers.”

Country Willow was established in 1996 by Roy and Cori Estrow, and is currently led by Cori Estrow, President, Mike Leibowitz, CEO and Michele Swanson, COO.
