Classic Brands Heads to NYC, Opens 1st Showroom

In an effort to expand reach into alternative retail channels, specialty mattress producer Classic Brands is opening a showroom in New York today, in time for the Fall New York Home Fashions Market, Sept. 24-27. The showroom is located in Suite 1100 in the 230 Fifth Avenue New York Market Center – a highly trafficked showroom building in the city’s Flatiron District.

The 1,500-square-foot showroom offers prime visibility to mass merchant and big box retailers, for the company to showcase its product lineup during a variety of New York-based markets, including NY NOW. The new space also provides Classic Brands 24-hour access to the showroom offering it flexibility in hosting retail partners for new product reveals and product development meetings.

“We see great opportunity to reach a different buyer than we typically see at the furniture markets in High Point and Las Vegas,” said Michael Zippelli, chief executive officer of Classic Brands. “The New York home shows attract many of the top retailers that we have on our punch list to partner with and continue to grow our brand. We continue to invest in innovation and talent to strengthen our product portfolio to establish Classic as a go-to supplier for unique sleep products that deliver our partners a competitive advantage in the marketplace.”

During the Market, Classic Brands will showcase a selection of its best-selling items including mattresses, pillows, mattress protectors, bed frames and furniture all designed to ship either flat packed or compressed.

Classic Brands pioneered the boxed mattress concept and has scale in sourcing and supply chain from around the world.
