HC28 Presents Designer Collections at Fall Market

Contemporary furniture manufacturer HC28 will debut four designer collections across multiple categories at next month’s High Point Market.

The Fall 2018 introductions hail from designers Steve Leung, Frank Chou, Luca Scacchetti, and newest addition to the designer collaborations, Yonoh Creative Studio. Each of the new collections blends multicultural aesthetic, Western design innovation and Eastern dedication to excellent craftsmanship and production.

PianPian Collection by Steve Leung - Architect, interior and product designer

The featured piece of Leung’s PianPian bedroom collection is the bed, which draws from the PianPian identity and craftsmanship with its elegant, decorative stitching line on the headboard and rounded solid wood base that softens its overall silhouette. With contrasting colors and asymmetry, the PianPian bedside table and desk complete the minimalist bedroom setting with visual interest and functionality.

New to the collection, the PianPian sofa, which also uses asymmetry, stitches together two different colored materials for an unconventional visual effect while providing a wide and comfortable seating space.

Been Collection by Yonoh Creative Studio

The Spanish studio founded by Clara del Portillo and Alex Selman is characterized by simple yet functional design.

The Been collection includes a modular sofa configurable to suit any room size or shape and upholstered in fabric or leather; and the coffee table of mixed material available in multiple dimensions with tabletop of wood or marble, silk black lacquered metal base and copper-plated stainless steel feet.

Scala Collection by Luca Scacchetti

The Scala collection relies on Scacchetti’s mastery of lines and scale, and includes a living room cabinet, sideboard, bar cabinet, coffee table and side table.

With each piece, the edge is shaped from solid wood with careful attention to cutting and polishing. The base in champagne brushed stainless steel reflects the color of the wood top in a luxurious combination. Inside the simply stylish bar cabinet, an interior light turns on when the door opens, and inside are a mirror and movable shelves to accommodate bottles and containers.

Veld Sofa by Frank Chou

Chou combines the artistic and the practical in his oversized chaise, which has a modular design and offers many seating possibilities. Upholstered in fabric or leather, it sits atop a metal base finished with dark gray epoxy paint.

The HC28 collections will be inside the EJ Victor showroom at 116 South Lindsay Street.
