Hooker Furniture Launches Ciao Bella, Inspired by European Farmhouses

Inspired by French and Italian farmhouses, Hooker Furniture is unveiling its rustic Ciao Bella Collection at next month’s High Point Market.

The 39-piece whole home collection is an eclectic mix of European farmhouse pieces that have the appearance of refinished furniture passed down through the generations.

Ciao Bella includes bedroom, dining room, occasional, home office and accent furniture, and features a finish called Timeworn Gray that accentuates the historical nature of European farmhouses – many of which include a variety of furniture styles that have been added by each generation of owners.

“It’s like walking into a small farmhouse that has been owned by the same family for nine generations that is surrounded by the vines that sustain the family vineyard,” said Pat Watson, vp of merchandising. “These timeless pieces never go out of style, and they take us back to a simpler era where life seemed to move more slowly than it does today.”

Headlining the bedroom category are two beds – a panel bed and an upholstered bed. The panel bed has a metal headboard and footboard with a weathered finish, while the second bed has an upholstered headboard and footboard with a wood frame in an aged finish and light distressing.

Additional bedroom pieces include an 80-inch tall wardrobe, a six-drawer chest, a six-drawer dresser with accent mirror, a telephone table and a five-drawer bureau. All feature the Timeworn Gray finish that is rubbed to expose the maple undertones of the pieces, which are constructed of maple, spruce and white oak.

Dining pieces include an 84-inch friendship table, a 60-inch round dining table and an 84-inch rectangular dining table. Dining accessory pieces such as a metal-framed bar cart with casters also are available.

Occasional pieces include two cocktail tables, a square end table, a chairside table, and an 80-inch console table with a metal frame and concrete top. In addition, Ciao Bella includes a 60-inch writing desk and a 72-inch flip-top console.
