Schneider Delivers 5X Faster Shipping Solution to Furniture Manufacturers

Transportation and logistics services provider Schneider has proposed a shipping service that will deliver a five-times faster shipping solution to furniture manufacturers, according to a case study performed by the company.
In the study, Schneider replaced a N.C.-based furniture manufacturer’s multiple-carrier model with a hub-and-spoke model using a single carrier, Schneider First-to Final-Mile. Schneider moved the manufacturer’s products on a daily basis to a consolidated terminal and then to the destination.
According to Schneider, transit times decreased from 11 -30 days to three to six days and the manufacturer had a 95 percent on-time delivery rate.
