Norris Furniture & Interiors Awarded Design Contract

Leading the design team for this project are Philip Donaghy and Jim Shafer. The inspiration for the interior design is meant to give the feeling of a tranquil escape from the busyness of everyday life.

“We dream of soft blue waves gently unfolding along sun drenched sandy beaches and walking the shoreline in search of colorful seashells or finding that perfect piece of driftwood washed ashore after its long journey from an exotic place,” said Donaghy. “These are the elements we have used in our inspiration to create an an elegant home with an organic, coastal feel.”

The design team has carefully selected key elements to establish an environment of tranquility, simplicity and comfort. A neutral color palette of soft whites, muted earthy tones and oceans hues blended with light weathered woods are the core of the design. It will feature unique fabrics with earthy textures and intricate patterns that are intertwined with threads of gold, silver and copper that softly reflect light.

Sophisticated yet stylish furniture will adorn the home including transitional style tables with authentic sea snake inlaid patterns and soft driftwood colored tones. From hand woven rugs to seafoam colored artwork to organic accents and architecturally inspired lighting, all of the elements in the design will create a uniquely beautiful home.
