E.S. Kluft & Co., producer of luxury mattresses under the Kluft and Aireloom brand names, has enhanced its Aireloom Karpen Sidestitch collection with a new adjustable base design.
The modern-day classic bedding collection has been part of the company’s line for nearly three years and pays homage to Aireloom’s founder and sleep products pioneer King Karpen.
The growing popularity of adjustable bed bases has driven the brand’s redesign of the collection.
“We’re seeing an increased interest from our retail partners and consumers in adjustable sleep, and the newly designed, handmade Aireloom Karpen Sidestitchdelivers high-end sleep with all of the comforts of adjustability,” said Dominick Azevedo, EVP of sales and marketing. “We’re committed to delivering a combination of Old World craftsmanship married with modern design and adjustability with the new model. These opulent beds mix classic Hollywood glamour with modern innovations to create a sleep experience that transcends time.”
Built on Aireloom’s 75-year heritage, the Karpen Sidestitch is handcrafted with 42 pounds of cotton by skilled artisans who hand stitch the mattress closed with more than 560 signature Aireloom side stitches, which are applied through the boarder and cotton batting. In addition to the cotton, the collection features more than 50 inner tufts and eight-way hand-tied construction with more than 800 knots.
Dressed in a white cover with gray geometric lines, the new collection features a dark, flannel-gray border. The new beds are priced to retail at $8,999 in queen.
