Jerome’s Furniture Gives Customers a Free Ride

The program picks up and returns anyone seeking to visit a Jerome’s Showroom or stand-alone Dream Shop within five miles of their location via www.jeromes.com/freeride. Customers do not need to download a rideshare app to utilize the service.
“This initiative reflects two things. First, we’re continually looking for ways to meet the changing demands of the retail consumer and challenge the industry to continually innovate,” said Jim Navarra, EVP. “This offering also extends our commitment to providing a top-tier experience to anyone who walks into one of our locations. When my family opened our first furniture store 60 years ago, they wanted everyone to feel welcome. While a lot has changed since 1954, treating our customers like family never has, and never will change. Our Free Ride service demonstrates this.”
The rides are arranged through Lyft. Once on the Free Ride page, individuals fill out their name, phone number, email address and pick up location as well as chose if they want to schedule a future ride or have one pick them up right away. A text message will alert the customer on the status of their request. To return from their visit, individuals simply reply to the original text with “Home” to have a Lyft car pick them up from the Jerome’s location.
