CDF Chief Testifies to Dangers of Tariffs on Upholstery Industry

In testimony to a U.S. trade representative, David Rumbarger, the leader for economic development in Tupelo and Lee County, Miss. said the proposed tariffs on upholstery fabric from China will result in significant job losses for furniture manufacturers, according to a report from WTVA 9 News.
Rumbarger, the president and CEO of the Community Development Foundation (CDF), said he hopes his testimony will help convince the Trump administration to exempt furniture makers from the tariff.
