Varidesk Appoints Detz to Growing Leadership Team, Chief People Officer

Varidesk, an active workspace solutions provider, has announced Megan Masoner Detz as its new chief people officer, marking the seventh senior leader added to the company in two months.

Detz will lead all HR functions and develop people strategies to help the company’s business growth. She will report to Chief Operating Officer Jeff Lamb.

"At Varidesk, we've expanded our market and now offer a suite of contract-grade full office furniture solutions. As our business grows and elevates, so must our leadership," said Jason McCann, co-founder and CEO. "We're bringing in the right leaders, with expertise in rapid growth environments, business-to-business acumen, and Fortune 500 experience to steer us in the right direction. Megan is a perfect example, and we're excited to have her on the team."

Detz’s experience leading teams through high-growth periods is valued at Varidesk. Notably, as SVP of Human Capital at NTT DATA, Inc., she helped scale the company's employee base from 15,000 to nearly 46,000 in seven years.

"I believe that a company's employees are truly their most valuable asset – no matter the organization's size or scope," Detz said. "I look forward to helping Varidesk continue to grow and bring a renewed focus on employee engagement and development."

Starting her career in sales and business development roles at Electronic Data Systems (now Hewlett Packard), Detz eventually led global recruitment and workforce planning, a team responsible for more than 12,000 hires a year. She also served as a member of the SAP SuccessFactors Executive Advisory Board, where she influenced the development of integrated, cloud-based HR software that helps companies recognize the full potential of their people.

Over the last two months, Varidesk expanded its team to include seven leaders from reputable organizations such as Southwest Airlines and Steelcase. These roles, ranging from chief operating officer to director of Business Insights and Data, reflect the company's growth and expanded market.
