R. Byron Brown Joins Tipperary Sales, La-Z-Boy Dealer

Family-owned Tipperary Sales, a La-Z-Boy Home Furnishings & Décor Dealer, has hired R. Byron Brown IV as SVP of Business Development. The company also acknowledges Brown as a shareholder.

His skillset is enhanced by twenty years of experience as a commercial real estate broker and developer, which afforded him financial and operations expertise encompassing various business models."
A graduate of the Wayne Calloway School of Business at Wake Forest University, Byron Brown is a licensed real estate broker in Georgia, S.C., and N.C., specializing in retail tenant representation, buyer representation, and land development with transaction experience totaling more than $130 million in value. For the past 18 years, Brown represented Tipperary Sales as one of his clients in a variety of real estate transactions. As the grandson and namesake of Tipperary Sales' founder, Byron Brown brings a lifetime of family knowledge to the business.

Byron Brown's position, which will be based out of the company's Charlotte office, will include a specific focus on growing earnings through team member education and empowerment, bolstering best practices, as well as increasing revenue through existing store enhancements and new store roll-outs. In addition to the revenue side, Byron will also be tasked with a deep review of overall company expenditures and improving corporate efficiencies.

Prior to joining Tipperary Sales, Byron Brown worked with The Keith Corporation followed by Collett & Associates. Most recently, he served as founding partner and broker-in-charge for Charlotte-based Caliber Partners where he successfully forged strong business relationships while negotiating detailed and large-scaled transactions throughout the Southeast.
