Spring Air Features Velvet Covers, New 8 Mattress Collection

Mattress supplier Spring Air International will unveil its Spring Air Special Edition line at Las Vegas Market. The eight-model collection features a velvet cover, designed to stand out on retail floors.
“We found the velvet this year at ISPA Expo in Charlotte and thought it would be a great addition to the line. The fabric is dramatically different from other mattress fabrics currently in the marketplace, and it delivers a unique look and feel to the designs,” said Nick Bates, president of Spring Air. “This collection is the first initiative created by our product development committee, and we’re excited about the group’s work on future projects. The team took the velvet and created a great lineup of great mattresses.”
The company’s product development team consists of Mike Moore of Pleasant Mattress Co.; Iker De La Sota of Spring Air Michigan; David Grove of Spring Air Mattress Inc.; and Scott Meyers of Spring Air Illinois.
Designed with a sturdy edge-to-edge coil unit, the new collection features zoned foam, gel poly in the quilt for durability and the velvet cover for a rich look and feel. Mattresses in the collection are priced to retail in queen at $599, $799 and $999.
“We have been very strategic in our decision to hold off on an edge-to-edge program, because we’ve seen too many coil units that didn’t hold up to our specifications and quality demands,” Bates said. “For Spring Air Special Edition, we’ve found the right supplier with the quality components that meet our exacting standards.”
The collection, along with the company’s other products, can be seen in Spring Air’s showroom located at B-1126 during the market, July 29-Aug. 2.
