Twin Star Home Offers Mix-and-Match Options with Trompe L’oeil Collection

Delray Beach-based Twin Star Home has announced a new collection called Trompe L’oeil that brings versatility to the Mid-Century Modern style, offering consumers many of the features of custom furniture without the high cost.

The collection, veneered in warm walnut, takes its name from signature panels of the 3D, geometric marquetry executed in walnut, bird’s eye maple, and American cherry that give the illusion of three-dimensional depth. The name Trompe L’oeil, comes from the French term, “fool or trick the eye” by creating an optical illusion of depth.

“As the market leader in electric fireplaces we understand that consumers want more out of their electric fireplaces than just the fire effect itself,” said Twin Star Home CEO Lori Gonzalez. “That’s why we have invested so heavily in designing a whole environment that marries fire with furnishings.”

The flagship pieces of the Trompe L’oeil collection include a multifunctional TV cabinet with a center compartment that can be used for storage or can be upgraded to accommodate a 26” quartz electric fireplace that features Spectrafire 3D, a patent pending three-dimensional flame effect that can be adjusted for color, brightness and speed. The fireplace’s 5,200 BTU heater provides supplemental zone heating for up to 1,000 square feet and can be operated with or without heat. A second TV cabinet can accommodate an 18” fireplace insert and comes with Bluetooth speakers. Both cabinets feature reversible doors with marquetry on one side and plain walnut on the other.

Additional pieces include an executive-type double pedestal desk with all the adjustable-height desk features and built in charging stations; a coffee table with a sunburst veneer top; a side table with a marquetry top; and a stylish round tripod side table, available with a marquetry top or a plain walnut top.

Modular pieces include a two-door cabinet with an adjustable shelf and a full extension sliding shelf; a three-drawer cabinet; a three-shelf hutch with optional glass doors that can fit on either the door cabinet of the drawer cabinet; and a walnut light bridge with LED touch lighting that can connect the two hutches.

“We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished with the Trompe L’oeil collection,” said Lisa Cody, Twin Star Home’s vice president of Marketing. “The incorporation of innovation and the design versatility reflect what we’ve learned about the way our consumers want to live now—with style, with comfort, and with their own personal stamp.”
