The Sustainable Furnishings Council (SFC) is offering GREENleaders certified sustainability training on Oct. 4, at the Morimar Design Center in Estero, FL. and Nov. 9 at Parsons Healthy Materials Lab, in New York City. The comprehensive 6-hour exam program provides designers, retailers, manufacturers, reps and others the knowledge and credentials to become an expert in sustainability.
Developed in 2009 by a LEED AP, in conjunction with the Sustainable Furnishings Council, the course is now updated with input from experts in the field including ranking staff of World Wildlife Fund, Rainforest Alliance, and a founder of the USGBC.
Approved by GBCI for 6 CE hours and registered with IDCEC for .6 HSW CEUs (6 ceu), the program provides grounding in sustainability issues and practical advice for home furnishings businesses, offering solutions to the problems.
The fee is normally $299 but early bird discounts are being offered now, lowering the cost to $149.50.
