IMC Donates to HP365, Leases Founder Suite at New Ballpark

International Market Centers (IMC) is making a key investment in the High Point community and home furnishings industry with a $500,000 donation to year-round entrepreneur center HP365.

“We are thrilled to play a role in the exciting economic development happening in the City of High Point,” said Bob Maricich, chairman and CEO for IMC. “HP365 is just one more way we can support innovation in the home furnishings industry and drive local entrepreneurship on a grassroots level.”

The center, an initiative of Business High Point-Chamber of Commerce, will provide workspace and resources to empower small businesses and startups in the home furnishings industry. The 100,000-square-foot building will be located at 410 W. English Road, adjacent to the new stadium complex.

“This generous support by IMC is a reflection of their commitment to the High Point community and to their belief in the innovation and entrepreneurial spirit which is going to drive the future of the furnishings industry,” said Patrick Chapin, president and CEO of Business High Point-Chamber of Commerce.

In addition, IMC has made a $500,000 commitment to the newly announced baseball stadium, BB&T Point, by leasing a Founder Suite. “This catalyst project to drive economic development in the downtown area will not only benefit the local community on a year-round basis but will also bring additional services and amenities to our bi-annual market visitors, so it is really a win-win for everyone,” said Scott Eckman, president of home furnishings leasing at IMC. “We hope other building owners in High Point will join us in investing in High Point development.”
