Abbyson Expands AbbySky Factory for Motion Upholstery Growth

Abbyson has expanded its AbbySky manufacturing, providing the space necessary for growing the company’s motion upholstery category.

The new manufacturing space is five million square feet, plus 50 total assembly lines. Retail partners are welcome to visit a new showroom in the facility, where they can see models and pre-production samples; there’s a brand-new R&D building; and teams in the facility will be able to monitor the quality of the entire production cycle through dedicated quality control processes.

“Our expanded space will be used for our growing motion category. Our new exclusive functionality and designs in the motion category are providing tremendous value for our partners,” said Rodd Rafieha, Abbyson’s senior vice president. “AbbySky plans to dedicate exclusive production lines to key retailers that are partnered for growth. This will in turn provide faster delivery, better quality, and much better efficiency for our partners.”

The expanded motion category includes new styles and innovative functionality, like top grain leather motion sofa groups with P3 functionality consisting of power recline, lumbar, headrests, and specially built-in media consoles with built-in remotes. The updated line will premiere at Las Vegas Market with a mix of neutrals and stylish displays that represent 400 new SKUs and 30 new upholstery groups.

“The goal is to continue to be a value-driven manufacturer and brand within the home furnishings industry,” Rafieha added. “We are in a competitive field, but we are ready to grow by providing retailers with the best product, the best values, and the best #AbbysonExperience for the end-consumers.”
