Macha Named Star’s Occasional, Home Office, Home Entertainment Buyer

Star Furniture, a Berkshire Hathaway furniture division retailer based in Houston, has named Alicia Macha to the position of buyer of occasional, wall units, home office, home entertainment, and accents.
In her new position, Macha will work with Star’s vice president of merchandising to continue the buying strategies that have been responsible for their growth.
With 17 years of buying history under her belt, Alicia’s fashion background complements the successful Star Furniture merchandising team.
Macha comes to Star from Conn’s Home Plus, where she started as senior buyer of consumer electronics, then moved to senior buyer of case goods and mattresses, where she has served for the past year.
Prior to that, she was the territory manager for OneCoast Home & Gift Market. She was twice named Merchant of the Year at Charming Charlie as senior buyer of fashion jewelry.
Macha will be focused on all aspects of the occasional, office, and entertainment categories as well as the growing accent business.
