HFA Announces 2018 Retailer of the Year Nominees

The Home Furnishings Association (HFA) has announced the nominees for its 2018 Retailer of the Year awards, which honor outstanding retailers who represent exceptional examples of philanthropy, technology, customer experience, mentoring, sustainability, and store design/merchandising.
Candidates are considered in two categories—sales volume under $10 million and sales volume $10 million or above.
A selection committee, comprised of HFA members, manufacturers, service providers/suppliers, independent sales reps, and industry officials and media, will review the nominations. Winners will be announced during a press conference Sunday, July 29, at 11 a.m. in the HFA Retailer Resource Center (B1050) during the Summer Las Vegas Market.
The HFA will also recognize an Emerging Star and Trailblazer, which acknowledge retailers who’ve successfully jumped into the industry with both feet and those who’ve made a career out of forging new roads, respectively.
All awards will be presented during the Retailer of the Year Celebration on Sept. 15 at the HFA’s Insights 2018 Conference in Minneapolis.
Retailer of the Year nominees are: Under $10 million sales volume—Flamingo Furniture, Design Elements, Aladdin Home Store, Sklar Furnishings, Super Nova Furniture, and Colfax Furniture; $10 million or above sales volume—W.S Badcock Corporation, Exclusive Furniture, The Furniture Warehouse, HOM Furniture, and Circle Furniture.
Trailblazer nominees are: Hoot Judkins Furniture, Danto Furniture, and White House Designs for Life. Emerging Star nominees are: Down East Home and Habitation Furnishings + Design.
