Classic Brands to Open California Factory

Mattress producer Classic Brands is set to open a new facility in Long Beach, Calif., in order to streamline logistics for its West Coast retailers.
The 157,000-square-foot facility will include a factory, warehouse, and office for the Maryland-based company and serve as the primary landing point for its products sourced from Asia.
In addition to manufacturing the company’s bedding line, the facility will include a production line to manufacture foundations and employ about 30 people.
“This new facility will improve our service to our West Coast retail customers, and streamline the logistics for all of our dealers,” said Michael Zippelli, CEO. “Our new location will make it easy to order from us from anywhere in the country.
“We’re excited to be able to make these service and product upgrades. It will keep us at the forefront of designing and producing innovative products to help people get a better night’s sleep,” Zippelli added.
