Lacks Furniture Expands to Corpus Christi

South Texas retailer Lacks Valley Stores Ltd., also known as Lacks Furniture, has announced its expansion to Corpus Christi, Texas.

The 32,500-square-foot building is the 12th addition to the furniture chain.

The new Lacks store will be located at 4330 South Padre Island Drive, with its grand opening taking place on June 9. The announcement comes from Lee Aaronson, Lacks Valley Stores’ chief executive officer.

“We are coming to Corpus because we’re committed to serving our customers and part of that commitment is this expansion,” said Aaronson. “This has always been part of our plan and now we are ready to offer the Corpus Christi market a wide range of product.”

Lacks Furniture has stated it will hire 25-30 people, contributing to the economic development of Corpus.

“We have had so many customers come from Corpus to our Alice location that placing a location in the heart of Corpus not only made sense, but seemed to be the only logical solution,” said David Estes, executive office/general manager for Lacks Valley Stores.

Lacks Valley Stores has eleven outlets in South Texas. The chain celebrates its 83rd anniversary this year.
