Strong Winter Market Fuels Leasing, Expansions at LV Market

Las Vegas Market announced that unprecedented levels of winter 2018 market buyer attendance and vendor participation has fueled furniture leasing gains, with some 85,300 square feet of new, expanding and renewing showrooms already confirmed for the summer 2018 Las Vegas Market, running July 29-Aug. 2, 2018.

“Las Vegas Market is increasing its already-robust furniture category, following strong activity and energy at the Winter Market, including record attendance gains,” said Ryan Mahoney, senior vice president, furniture leasing, International Market Centers. “Continuing growth in both the quantity and quality of furniture resources is attracting an increasingly-diverse retail base, and major expansion by leading luxury furniture and accessories brands is sparking significant attendance gains among interior designers, architect, and contract/hospitality buyers.

“These latest leasing gains reflect the industry’s confidence in Las Vegas Market’s ability to deliver return on investment by attracting an established and growing buyer base,” he added.

This summer, three new-to-market furniture resources are opening showrooms in Las Vegas for the first time: Meridian Furniture, importers and distributors of fine case goods, upholstery, occasional furniture and accessories, in 2,500 square feet on B7; Osaki & Titan Massage Chair, a supplier of electric massage chairs, handheld massagers, foot massagers, fitness machines, and back relief products, in 2,300 square feet on A5; and Reemka Imports, a supplier of wood and metal case goods, occasional furniture and accessories, in 2,600 square feet on B3.

Additionally, Fairmont Designs, a provider of upscale case goods, upholstery, and accessories, returns from a Las Vegas Market hiatus in 10,000 square feet on A9.

Four furniture firms are expanding or relocating their showrooms for summer market, including: Broyhill Furniture, manufacturers of fine quality case goods, upholstery and accessories, relocating to 10,000 square feet on A10; Case goods manufacturer Modus, expanding and relocating to 13,500 square feet on B5; Real Flame, manufacturers of indoor and outdoor fireplaces and accessories, expanding to 3,000 square feet on A9; and Walker Edison, a supplier of high-quality ready-to-assemble (RTA) furniture, expanding to 3,400 square feet on A6.

In addition to these new and expanding showrooms, a number of major furniture suppliers recently have renewed their Las Vegas Market showroom commitments. Two notable renewals are: Dovetail, a provider of case goods, upholstery and accessories, in 10,000 square feet on B1; and HomElegance, a supplier of case goods, upholstery, occasional furniture and accessories, in 28,000 square feet on A6.

These latest additions and expansions add 22,800 square feet of new showroom resources to Las Vegas Market’s largest category, which now totals 2.5 million. This summer market leasing activity comes on the heels of the winter market, at which 50 furniture vendors debuted new and expanded showrooms, bringing the market’s total furniture resources over 2,000 for the first time in its 11-year history.
