The 15-piece collection is characterized by extremely distressed surfaces and will include pieces for the bedroom and living spaces. The group will be showcased in the company’s High Point showroom, located at G1082 in the International Home Furnishings Center.
“The collection’s name is a nod to the heavy distressing that is featured throughout the group that in some ways could resemble the landscape of an escarpment,” said Luke Simpson, president and CEO. “By far the most distressed collection in our product line, it was designed to give the pieces a look that is perfectly imperfect, a key trend that continues to grow in popularity with today’s casual lifestyles.”
Crafted of solid wormy rustic maple, the collection’s heavily distressed look is achieved through the use of various techniques including roughed edges—distressed by hand with stones—hand chiseling, and nail clustering details.
Additional design details that give the group its casually vintage style include highly distressed planked tops, creating the look of refinished heirloom furniture with a revived life. Hammered metal single knob pulls in a black nickel finish complete the look.
Presented in two new premium finishes, Stone Dust and Desert Sand, the collection is also available in any of Durham’s more than 50 custom finishes. The group will be shown at Market in both the Stone Dust/Desert Sand two-tone finish as well as other Durham best-selling existing finishes. Stone Dust and Desert Sand will also be available on many of Durham’s existing product collections.
