Industry Veteran Launches eCommerce Mgmt. Company

Home Furnishings industry veteran Ron Carpenter and partner Will Carpenter have formed a new company called eCommerce Sales Partners (ESP), that will provide specialized eCommerce account management, strategy, development and sales representation for the home furnishings industry.
Drawing from experience with online dealers like Amazon.com, Wayfair.com, Overstock.com, and Houzz.com, ESP serves as the account manager working with manufacturers, importers and distributors, to develop and implement marketing and sales strategies for the online distribution channel.
Current ESP clients include: A.R.T.; Palliser; Palliser Casegoods (Casana Furniture); C.R. Plastic Products; and Kalora Interiors.
“As eCommerce has become an important mainstream distribution channel, many vendors haven’t optimized their internal processes and value proposition for the requirements of these online dealers—and they often don’t have the resources or capabilities to manage them,” said Ron Carpenter, president of ESP. “We specialize in helping organizations navigate this complex channel and maximize the growth opportunities it offers.”
ESP provides account introductions and business development; online product line set up and onboarding; and sales management and account growth initiatives.
For vendors with existing eCommerce distribution, ESP assists with: re-launching current ecommerce channels; optimizing current ecommerce channels or relationships; and configuring and managing vendor processes for rapid ecommerce growth.
Prior to founding ESP, Ron was the principal at Strategic Marketing Solutions. He also served as vice president, marketing and business development at Magnussen Home Furnishings; director, Furniture Industry Consulting Services at BDO Seidman, LLP; and VP marketing & business development at Lea Industries.
Before joining ESP, Will served as a senior associate at Strategic Marketing Solutions, a business system analyst at Lidl US, and a senior consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton.
