Furniture First Welcomes Kittle’s As New Member

Furniture First Welcomes Kittle’s As New Member Kittles Furniture is the newest member of Furniture First Buying Group.  In a vote late last week, the buying group’s board of directors approved the retailers membership.

Kittle’s eight stores are located in Indiana, with five locations in the Indianapolis area and one each in Bloomington, Lafayette and Fort Wayne

Kittle’s Furniture started in 1932 as a small downtown store and is still majority-owned by the Kittle’s family. In 2010, when Jim Kittle retired from the business his grandparents started, he turned the reigns over to Eric Easter, the current President, CEO and minority owner of Kittle’s. Jim’s brother John Kittle also has an ownership stake in the business.

“Kittle’s is excited to become a part of the Furniture First buying group,” said Eric Easter.   “We look forward to listening, learning and contributing.  The perspective of fellow retailers will prove invaluable as we navigate retail’s new waters.”

“We’re thrilled to have Kittle’s Furniture join our group” said Andrew Kauffman, CEO of Furniture First. “They are a well-respected, strong retail organization. They aligned well with our merchandise offerings and our service programs are expected to provide them with substantial benefits.”

As a new member, Kittle’s will be eligible for free travel to and accommodations at the buying group’s Annual Symposium in Fort Lauderdale, May 14-16.

New members attend a pre-symposium orientation that acquaints them with the 60+ marketing and business service programs Furniture First brings members, including Tools 2B First analytics, as developed by member Furniture Mall of Kansas.
