King Koil Adds Two to Sales Team

Mattress producer King Koil has named two sales managers to its growing team as it readies to implement the new domestic manufacturing and sales strategy announced earlier this year.

David Simpson and Al Dambrauskas have joined King Koil as regional sales managers and will work to expand the bedding manufacturer’s retail reach under the shift from a licensing organization to a manufacturing platform. Simpson and Dambrauskas join Howard Galant, who was named executive vice president of sales for the Western Division, on the sales team.

Both new hires were most recently at luxury bedding resource E.S. Kluft & Co. and previously worked with King Koil’s CEO David Binke.

“We’re building a team of extremely professional sales leaders as we roll out our new business focus to become the leading domestic manufacturer,” Binke said. “Both David and Al have strong relationships with our retail partners, are well respected within the industry and understand the King Koil brand direction. We look forward to their contributions to our team.”

Simpson, a 21-year veteran of the bedding industry, was regional sales manager for E.S. Kluft in the West. He joined E.S. Kluft in 2009 as a key account manager and was promoted in 2017. Simpson entered the bedding industry in 1997 as a sales representative for Spring Air. During his 12-year tenure with the company, he held a number of positions including director of sales and regional sales manager.

Dambrauskas was a key account manager with E.S. Kluft in the Denver area before joining King Koil. With more than 19 years in the bedding industry, Dambrauskas has held sales and sales manager positions with leading brands like Sealy, Spring Air, Southerland and Simmons.  He joined Simmons in 1999 as director of national accounts. In 2006, he was named regional sales manager for Southerland. At Spring Air, he was territory manager for two years, and from 2009 until 2017, Dambrauskas was senior territory manager for Sealy.
