HOM Readies Newest Location in MSP Metro Area

Retailer HOM Furniture is renovating a former Kohl’s Department Store in Brooklyn Center, Minn., and will open its newest store there this fall.
When finished, the 100,000 square-foot complex will include 12,500 square feet added for HOM, and another 12,500 square feet for other retail or office tenants.
Under construction adjacent to HOM’s newest location is a Bank of America facility being built by Todd Development.
“Being our newest location, this store will be our most innovative design and include all of our brands from Sleep Express, Bargain Shop, Seasonal Concepts Patio, HOM Floors and our other galleries,” said Rod Johansen, president and CEO. “This location offers great visibility along Highway 100 and is the perfect site for our new retail destination and for other tenants like coffee shops and restaurants in our new retail space.”
It will be HOM’s eighth store in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area, and the retailer’s 16th overall. Its other stores are in Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, Iowa, and Wisconsin.
