Case goods and upholstery resource Abbyson has expanded its Asian operational footprint with the opening of a new office in Vietnam.
The company said the new office will oversee all current and future factories in the country, allowing it to have local representation for its global supply chain and manufacturing capabilities. That will help drive continuous quality improvements on all products manufactured in Vietnam.
Vietnam production capacity will be about 400 containers per month, company officials said.
“With this expansion and local staff established, we will strategically further our quality control initiatives through Abbyson’s Quality Management System (QMS) to increase efficiency in terms of quality, delivery and overall factory accountability on all Abbyson products. This will enable our continued growth to meet and exceed our loyal customers’ expectations,” said Yavar Rafieha, president of Abbyson. “Furthermore, this local presence allows us to optimize relationship management with current and future suppliers.”
Abbyson now has four quality control offices in Asia and 26 quality control managers on the continent who are employed by the company.
Abbyson has design teams in both its U.S. and Vietnam offices. Product categories manufactured will include bedroom, dining room, entertainment, occasional and upholstery.
