Décor-Rest to Open New HP Showroom; Add Motion, Dining Room

Custom upholstery major Décor-Rest is adding motion upholstery and dining room furniture to its product lineup, and is moving to a new showroom in time for the April High Point Market.

The company said the moves are part of its effort to become a whole-home resource and continue its growth in the U.S. market.

The new 14,000 square-foot showroom in Plaza Suites, space 212, is replacing a free-standing showroom building at 208 Jacobs Place where Décor-Rest had exhibited for many years.

“We’re on the fast track and moving quickly to keep pace with the new realities of today’s changing retail market, consumer preferences and the needs of our dealers, particularly in the U.S.,” said J.R. Marzilli, president of the family-owned and operated company. “Due to our continued growth trajectory and expansion into new categories, we’ve been searching for a new, larger and more centrally located showroom for some time now.”

Marzilli said the showroom will afford the additional space the company requires to display not only the fashion-forward upholstered furniture designs that Decor-Rest is known for, but also room for the introduction of new product categories such as motion upholstery and dining room furniture, and to expand its line-up of globally sourced accent furniture.

The next High Point Market will take place April 14-18.
