HOM Furniture Hands Out Top Vendor, Sales Rep Awards

Minnesota-based retailer HOM Furniture has named WG&R Mattress as its Vendor of the Year, and Sharon Trahan and Laurie Gaschott as its Sales Representatives of the Year.
Trahan and Gaschott, who represent casual furniture producer Homecrest Furniture, were honored for their overall professionalism and timeliness of service, as well as a proven commitment to HOM Furniture’s success, said Kyle Johansen, the retailer’s executive director of merchandising.
“Through the years, Sharon and Laurie have worked diligently on assisting with new product development projects, they have been involved in our HOM Open, and hosted sales departments on many educational trips to Wadena,” Johansen said. “They also supported our service and operation teams, and most importantly, they always came with home baked cookies. We are proud of their service and commitment to our ‘HOM team’.”
Wisconsin-based WG&R produces all of HOM’s private-label mattress products, including the upper-end Thomas Cole line that was rolled out in 2017.
“WG&R exhibits great value, top notch quality, on-time shipping and customer service,” Johansen said. “This allows HOM Furniture to sell high quality, value priced mattresses in our Bargain Shop and high end, value-priced mattresses in our Thomas Cole line.”
The awards were presented at the retailer’s annual awards banquet earlier this month at The Depot in Minneapolis.
