Upholstery and case goods powerhouse Man Wah Furniture and renowned comedian/entertainer Jeff Foxworthy have formed a strategic partnership that will culminate in the launch of the Jeff Foxworthy Home Collection at the April High Point Market.
The partnership represents Foxworthy’s first furniture line and is Man Wah’s first-ever licensed collection.
“We are extremely excited and proud to be launching the Jeff Foxworthy Home Collection at the upcoming High Point Market,” said Guy Ray, CEO of Man Wah USA. “The fact that this is the first time that Jeff is taking his name into the home furnishings arena makes this launch all the more special.”
Details regarding the scope and pricing of the products are still being finalized, Ray said.
During the company’s 25-year history, Ray said Man Wah has not only earned a reputation for being one of the largest global upholstery manufacturers, it is also known for delivering quality goods at extremely competitive prices, which has earned it the trust and business of virtually every class of American consumer.
Many of those same attributes are shared by Foxworthy, he said.
“While I am perhaps best known for my comedy, I was extremely impressed with Man Wah on many levels,” Foxworthy said. “In addition to building products that are good-looking, comfortable and priced right, the company has earned the respect of retailers and consumers for quality, integrity and trust, all qualities that are equally important to me,” he added.
In addition to being one of the most respected and successful comedians in the nation, Foxworthy also has the distinction of being the largest selling comedy-recording artist in history, a multiple Grammy Award nominee and best-selling author of more than 26 books.
He also was the star of the game show “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” and the series “Blue Collar TV.”
In addition to a successful career in comedy, recordings, TV shows, and books, Foxworthy started his own outdoor company, Foxworthy Outdoors, which has a line of products related to outdoor living, and has a line of You Might Be A Redneck If…calendars through Andrews McMeel Publishing.
In addition, he has his own line of food products, including Jeff Foxworthy’s Grit Chips.
"As one of the most respected and successful comedians in the country, Jeff, via humor and laughter, connects with all people because of his values, both professionally and personally. His connection and trust with people will give consumers the added confidence when deciding to buy a home furnishing product,” Ray said. “And if that were not enough, Jeff’s powerful brand will also bring an unparalleled level of excitement to the retail selling floor, which is essential in today’s highly competitive retail arena.”
