Kathi Cunningham, Sales Exec and WithIt Founding Member, Dies

Kathi Cunningham, a longtime furniture industry sales executive and a founding member of WithIt, died Feb. 6 from complications from the flu.
Cunningham most recently was senior regional sales manager at Classic Home, and earlier spent 10 years as a senior account representative at Four Hands.
She helped her family start a furniture business, Cunningham Furniture in Lawrenceville, Ga., and worked there until her parents retired.
She served on the founding Advisory Committee to WithIt’s board of directors, and was one of the original WithIt Ambassadors. Cunningham also received the group’s Wow Award for Mentoring in 2006.
Earlier, Cunningham was the first woman to receive a full scholarship to play basketball at the University of Alabama-Birmingham, and was the first woman at the school to be named an All-American.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Atlanta Humane Society.
